觀空间欣然宣布：将于2023年2月10日至5月10日隆重呈现第七届广州三年展平行展之——【孤独·剧场】薛扬、张钊瀛个人项目。本次平行展由VLAB+觀空间联合主办，西洋记、月与歌协办，李邦耀担任学术主持，陈观宝策展。

莎士比亚说：世界是一个剧场，所有人都是演员，每人一生中扮演着多个角色。历史的车轮滚滚向前，社会的剧场本不完美，人类文明每次在历史进程中遭遇天灾人祸、困顿与洪荒之际，人们需要英雄力挽狂澜解救大众于水深火热，更需要科学而冷静的思考，以及需要弱小而坚定的呐喊......

薛扬，时间之外，布上油画，120cm×150cm，2019

薛扬多年身处改革开放最前沿、最热闹的深圳，亲历了这座城市日新月异的经济、科技及生活方式的高速变幻及发展。薛扬多年保持简单生活，坚持独立思考及探索，她的创作力求过滤掉社会大染缸里的喧嚣杂质，以自我的微体验、微表达，在文化的多元共生与混搭交融的变局中发出了真诚而又极富真情的呐喊。

张钊瀛，奇珍博物馆NO.1，布面油画，100×200cm，2016-2021

张钊瀛生长于改革开放前沿的广州。与许多85后一样，张钊瀛从出生便理所当然的浸润在来自东西方文明精彩对撞的浪潮里，特别是近年来得益于他游学比利时以及澳门攻读博士的收获，他在文化的差异中建构出独特而敏锐的看待世界的视角。他擅于利用诸多的复杂地方性元素对社会话题进行游戏性、隐喻性的表达。面对社会剧场中的魔幻情节，人生剧场的悲欢离合，张钊瀛从本土文脉出发，对动态的社会剧场中的静态道具进行剖析，进行微小的个体解读。

薛扬，两种馈赠，布上油画，120×150cm，2017

本次展览立题“孤独·剧场”。策展人陈观宝表示，再喧嚣的剧场也有落幕之时，在跌宕起伏之间，或高潮退却之时，人们需要更多的关注聚光灯之外那一小撮默默无闻却坚持初心、守望孤独的人。薛扬、张钊瀛作为新锐艺术家，尽管属于宏大的社会剧目中的小配角，他们游离于社会边缘状态，并以边缘角色参与到激变的社会发展潮流中，他们的艺术表达是微弱的、孤独的，但谁能否认，以他们为代表的非标准的、个性化的、有独立思考及艺术表达能力的边缘角色，不是一股推动社会向前发展的重要动力呢?

张钊瀛，哥特传，布上油画，350×180cm，2016-2019

本次展览分别在觀空间及VLAB翌当代艺术空间两个展场同时进行，共展出薛扬、张钊瀛的架上绘画、综合材料、雕塑、装置、影像等作品约50件，展期从2023年2月10日起，展至5月10日。

张钊瀛，终身学习-世界乐园-秘密花园NO.1，布面油画与喷枪亚克力，100×150cm，2020-2021

Every time human civilisation encounters natural and man-made disasters, hardships, and chaos in the course of history, people need heroes to turn the tide and save the masses from the abyss, much-needed calm and scientific thought, and those weak but firm shouting...

薛扬，沉默明亮如星辰，布面油画，100×80cm，2022

Xue Yang has been living in Shenzhen—the forefront city of reform and opening up—for many years and has experienced the rapid changes and development of the city's ever-changing economy, technology and lifestyle. Xue Yang always maintains a simple life, insisting on independent thinking and exploration, her creations strive to filter out the noisy impurities in the complicated society, in addition, uses her own micro-experience and micro-expression to make a warm and sincere cry in the change of cultural pluralism, symbiosis and mix-and-match.

张钊瀛，生活肥皂剧NO.7，布面油画，30×40cm，2021-2022

Zhang Zhaoying grew up in Guangzhou, at the forefront of reform and opening up. Like many post-85 generations, Zhang Zhaoying has naturally been immersed in the wonderful collision of Eastern and Western civilisation from his birth. In recent years, from his doctoral studies in Belgium and Macao, he has developed a unique and keen perspective on the world during cultural differences. He is good at using many complex local elements to playfully and metaphorically express social topics. Faced with surrealism in social theatre and the joys and sorrows of life theatre, Zhang Zhaoying starts from the local context to analyse the static props in dynamic social theatre and make small individual interpretations.

Curator Steve Chen believes that there is always an end waiting for the hustle and bustle of theatre. Between ups and downs, or when the climax recedes, people need to pay more attention to the small group of unknown people outside the spotlight who adhere to their original intention and watch over loneliness. Xue Yang and Zhang Zhaoying, as emerging artists. Although they belong to the small supporting roles in the grand social repertoire, they wander away from the marginal state of society and participate in the radical social development trend with marginal roles, their artistic expression is weak and lonely, but who can deny that the non-standard, individualised, independent thinking and artistic expression marginal characters represented by them are not an important driving force for the development of society?

The exhibition will be held simultaneously in Justart Space and VLAB Yi Contemporary Art Space and will display about 50 works, including paintings, mixed material works, sculptures, installations, videos and other works by Xue Yang and Zhang Zhaoying, which will be staged from February 10, 2023 to May 10, 2023.

生于江苏，毕业于南京艺术学院，获油画专业硕士学位，国家一级美术师。

现任职于深圳关山月美术馆。深圳市美术家协会理事、深圳市美协

油画艺委会委员、深圳市青年美术家协会副会长。

张钊瀛

1988年出生于中国广州。毕业于四川美术学院油画系,学士学位；

比利时布鲁塞尔艺术学院，硕士学位；澳门科技大学博士在读。

任教于四川美术学院艺术人文学院、韩国三育大学硕士研究生导师。

作为85后出生的重要艺术家代表之一，张钊瀛的作品国际化视野是相当明显的，

充分体现出跨媒介、跨语言以及跨时代的精神混合现场。长期研究实践图像史，

重构话语颠復性的“个人场域”。

Zhang Zhaoying

Born in 1988 in Guangzhou, China. Graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute with a bachelor's degree.

Master's degree, Brussels Academy of Arts, Belgium; PhD candidate at Macau University of Science and Technology.

He taught in the School of Art and Humanities of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute and the postgraduate tutor of Sanyu University in Korea.

As one of the important representatives of artists born after 1985, Zhang Zhaoying's international vision of works is quite obvious.Fully reflects the cross-media, cross-language and cross-era spirit mixed scene. A long history of research practice images,Reconstruct the "personal field" of the subversive utterance。
